According to the history books, there has been a mill here for over 700 years.Il Mulino is perched on a rock in a lovely valley where the sound of the river flowing beneath your window will lull you to sleep at night. Work on restoration was started in 2000 and the owners have made it a home from home at the same time as preserving original features. For example, you can breakfast from a sunny terrace on a table constructed from the old mill-stones.

Fully modernised, with central heating and a log burner for colder nights, il Mulino comfortably sleeps 5 guests (with the possibility of a 6th 'put-me-up'). There are two double bedrooms, one with a King-size bed and the other with 2 singles. There is a sweet, single bedroom and two bathrooms. One has a shower and the other has a bath and washing-machine. The kitchen is equipped for 6 guests, with a fridge-freezer, gas hobs, electric oven and microwave. Outside there is plenty of private space, including the choice of two terraces for dining al fresco, equipped with garden furniture and barbecue. It is difficult to describe the tranquility and beauty of the location and many of our guests have told us il Mulino exceeds expectations. There is no swimming pool as the river has pools deep enough to plunge into. Children and adults alike love playing in the refreshing water and many a dam and stone-sculpture have been built! Others prefer to find a warm, flat rock to sit and read, paint or sip their wine.
